Radio Today officially leads Radio Info

Staff Writer

Radio Today was the first exclusive radio site to reveal traffic numbers, and subsequently to move to being independently measured through Nielsen Market Intelligence, and audited by the Audit Bureaux of Australia.

We have been calling for all websites in this space to do the same for some time, and we are pleased that another has now done so.

The Radio Info site has also now moved to independent measurement through Nielsen, and we congratulate them on the move. The February figures for both sites are shown below.

As you might know, Nielsen Market Intelligence announced last month that they will no longer release Monthly Unique Browsers, they have advised that Average Daily UB's is the new metric that should be referenced (see our earlier article here). So whilst we have previously reported Monthly UB's, this information is no longer available.

So how have the two radio sites performed?

To be fair, both have done pretty well.

Based on Nielsen measurement, from 1 February to 28 February, the traffic figures were;

Site Average Daily UB's (Australian) Page Impressions

Radio Today 1,603 136,343
Radio Info 1,326 123,636

See the summary from Nielsen Market Intelligence of the two sites below (click to enlarge).

Both sites have very good traffic numbers, however we're pleased that Radio Today has been officially acknowledged as the leading site based on Average Daily UB's in the radio space.

Using this as the new metric, as advised by Nielsen, and also looking at Page Impressions, Radio Today's trend over the past 3-months is shown below;

Whilst it looks like Radio Today jumped significantly in February, and of course we would like to think that's the case, the reality is that December/January is the quiet period, so February is really returning to normality.

Thanks for your support, we appreciate it!
