Radio announcer punches client

On Saturday night, RadioWest announcers Jamie McDonald and Doug Terry put on boxing gloves to raise money for local charity The Police Legacy fund.

While Doug showed great skill landing a punch on one of the station advertisers (see pic below), he lost on points (and probably lost the station a client 😉

Jamie then took to the ring and, after a left hook to the head, was rendered unconscious halfway through his bout. This, after he lost 10kg's and on one occasion trained so hard that he vomited.

It was the finale of a two month story arc with lots of money raised (the final tally is being calculated).

Jamie says it had all the important elements for any good underdog story: "blood, sweat and vomit".
