Pure poetry: KIIS Network’s Will & Woody make Billie Eilish cry

On the KIIS Network’s Will & Woody show this week, Will McMahon made Billie Eilish cry when reading out a piece he wrote about her latest album Hit Me Hard and Soft.

The album was really important to Will, and he wanted to use their time to let Billie know what an amazing artist she is.

As Billie travels on the road without her brother Finneas, it brought her to tears.

Will: “Who is this woman? This woman who has documented her plight with such touching honesty, so as to make the most eloquent coming of age art of her generation. This woman who, since a girl has laid bare her suffering with such ferocity that it now burns like a lighthouse of relief for anyone who may have lost their way. What a gift that is. What a gift you are.”

Billie: “Oh my God, look, everybody’s gonna cry over there. That’s amazing. Will … thank you for sharing. That is so touching.”

Will: “Thank you for the music.”
