Power FM SA’s Craig and Chels hit the ground running
Returning to Breakfast radio after an extended break can be challenging – particularly when you’ve just become a dad to newborn twins.
But Power FM SA’s Craig Pitman is taking it all in his stride.
Less than two weeks in, Craig and his new brekky co-host Chelsea Barber have barely had time to collect their thoughts.

In their first few days on air together, Craig and Chelsea were interviewed by Bianca Wylie from 9 News Adelaide ahead of Ed Sheeran’s Loop Tour.
Craig even found time to visit a local redheaded shearer – just so he so I could say “I saw Ed Sheeran*”
Chelsea – a secondary school relief teacher – was hired by ARN less than a week after winning Fresh 927’s Generation Fresh competition, with guest judges Ben Harvey and Liam Stapleton declaring her ‘the complete package.’
Chelsea says Craig has already become a great mentor, posting to LinkedIn: “Safe to say the first week in the new role has been an unbelievable one! Here’s to plenty more big weeks in 2026.”
Chelsea took over the Breakfast chair this year from fellow Australian Radio School graduate Katie Wright, who now hosts Power FM SA’s 10am to 2pm weekday slot.
