“Please don’t call.” Em Rusciano on whether she’d return to radio
Em Rusciano has opened up about whether she’d ever consider a return to radio.
Joining Ricki-Lee Coulter and Tim Blackwell on Nova 96.9 Breakfast this morning, the singer, comedian and podcaster – who’s no stranger to brekky radio in Sydney – joked “Someone’s eye in Sydney is twitching because they can hear me on the airwaves.”

Tim: “Welcome back to Breakfast radio. Firstly, this is lovely to have you back here, and at this time of the day. Does it feel good? Do you miss it?”
Em: “Next!”
Tim: “Oh, that was the only question we had.”
Em: “I don’t (miss it) … I am so happy to moonlight and drop in and if you ever need me to fill in, please don’t call!”
Ricki: “Noted. Everyone take that down.”
Ricki-Lee & Tim can be heard from 6am to 9am on Nova 96.9 in Sydney and nationally on the Nova Network from 6pm to 7pm.
Sorry Em, no one is calling.
I really don’t get the fascination that certain quarters have over Em Rusciano: Someone who if I’m not mistaken, has said she’s got zero desire to make a radio comeback on multiple occasions in recent years.
Anyway, it’s not like her time at 2DayFM Breakfast (or the prior Hit Network program which led up to that) was exactly showered in ratings glory. She might’ve been slightly more successful on 92.9 Perth back in the Late 2000s but even then, I’m not aware of that station or it’s brekky show having been #1 in the ratings then.
I miss Em on the radio.. she was great with Harley, but was just on air in the wrong city.
Just checked the ratings records.
Don’t worry Em, you’re phone will be fine.
The Em Rusciano Radio Show with Harley Breen was the greatest breakfast radio show of all time and I won’t hear otherwise.
