Peter Hale back at 6IX after 53 years

More than half a century after he first began working there, Peter Hale has returned to Perth station 6IX.

Peter’s radio journey began when he left school, joining 6IX as a trainee announcer and production assistant.

Now – 53 years later – he’s back at 6IX, hosting Jukebox Saturday Night.

“I think radio is in my DNA. I have never left it,” says Peter.

Over the years, Peter has worked at several Perth stations including 6PR, 6KY (now 94.5FM), Heritage FM, and Curtin FM, along with many regional stations.

“I have always loved working on my craft.”
