Pandora sneak back in

Staff Writer

In a recent article on itechreport.com.au, they believe Pandora have quietly snuck back into Australia.

Pandora is another online music streaming service that will compete with Spotify, Rdio and a few local start-ups. Until now it was only available in the U.S.

The site positions them like this – "It's a new kind of radio – stations that only play music you like"

Pandora takes a different approach to the others. Rather than users choosing individual songs to listen to, they provide a tailor-made radio station. It streams music based on your likes, fave genres and artists.

You can currently access the free part of it but, on investigation, if you want to upgrade to Pandora One (which has no ads and higher quality audio) the terms and conditions state you must be a resident of the U.S.

Tim Westergren (pictured), the founder of the site, says….

"Know that we are single-mindedly dedicated to providing you with the best personalized radio listening experience in the world"

Is Pandora here to stay, or just testing the waters ?
