Over $3,500 raised for breast cancer support at 2TM’s Bra-B-Q

Reporter

2TM and 92.9fm’s recent Bra-B-Q fundraiser was a big success, with the stations handing over a cheque for $3,552.20 to local charity Serendipity Tamworth.

The stations held an outside broadcast in October to support Breast Cancer Awareness month.

Serendipity is a local Tamworth charity, which raises funds for the improvements of local facilities associated with breast cancer.

The event was held in Fitzroy Plaza, where a bollard of bras along the pathway was created from bras donated by listeners.

There was a BBQ, flavoured milk, cakes, donuts and a mega raffle all raising money on the day.

2TM and 92.9 also held a silent auction of an advertising package across both stations valued at $1575.
