Osher Günsberg waves goodbye to Hit105

Osher Günsberg announced his departure from Hit105 Brisbane this morning, breaking the news in song via his Instagram page.

“I’m leaving Brisbane, I got too busy making TV,” croons Günsberg. The Brissy breakfast personality has been with the station for two years alongside Stav, Abby & Matt.

The move follows the continued success of popular TV series The Bachelor in Australia: “We’ve got a new Bachelor show, Bachelor in Paradise, as well as the Bachelor & Bachelorette,” Günsberg said.

Survey 6 results were released yesterday placing Hit105 at #3 overall for Brisbane, but unable to score the #1 for any time slot.

Hit105 CD Mathew Eggleston said:”Osher Günsberg will be finishing with the Hit105 breakfast team on Friday 27th October due to increased TV commitments in 2018.

“It’s been an absolute pleasure to have Osher’s experience and wealth of knowledge, not only of radio but the Brisbane market on the air and we wish him all the best for the future.”

There’s no news yet if a replacement will be will be announced for Günsberg’s role on the Stav, Abby & Matt show.
