One win away: Nick Watson eyes Grand Final glory on Nova’s Jase & Lauren

This morning on Nova 100’s Jase & Lauren, Jase Hawkins, Lauren Phillips and Clint Stanaway caught up with young Hawthorn star Nick Watson as the Hawks prepare for Friday’s blockbuster AFL Preliminary Final clash with Geelong.

Nick opened up about his dream of playing in a Grand Final, the importance of staying grounded and the sacrifices his family have made to support his journey.

Clint: “Is [a grand final] something you do dream about all your life?”

Nick: Yeah. “Well, my answer was, it’s obviously a dream … but we’ve got a prelim first … safe answer.”

Clint: “You can be a little bit sort of more rogue her.”

Nick: “Yeah, it’s hard not to think about the Grand Final. Only one win away. But yeah, obviously we do have Geelong first.”
