O’Connell has landed, new Breakfast show begins June 4
New Gold104 FM breakfast host Christian O’Connell is shrugging off the jetlag and getting a feel for his new hometown.
After bidding farewell to London a little over a week ago, O’Connell flew into Melbourne on Thursday night with his wife and two daughters in tow.
He’s taken to Twitter to get his bearings, hitting up Melbournians for advice on everything from performing the notorious hook turn to finding a new boxing gym.

Christian’s first show on Gold is Monday, June 4 and he’ll be hoping the decision to pack up and leave London pays off.
And so does ARN.
This will be fun to watch good luck.
This reminds me of when Ten launched that breakfast show and hired Paul Henry from NZ. Massive fail. Didn’t last.
