Nova 96.9’s Fitzy & Wippa with Kate Ritchie give away a year’s worth of groceries

This morning, Nova 96.9’s Fitzy & Wippa with Kate Ritchie were changing lives, by giving away a year’s worth of groceries.

For the past fortnight, Fitzy, Wippa and Kate have been helping to take the weight off Sydney‘s shoulders during the cost of living crisis, shouting every listener who gets on the air two weeks’ worth of groceries, and giving them a chance to win an entire year’s worth, too.

This morning it all came down to one lucky listener – Kate from Glenmore Park.

Kate is a mum of 5 kids – aged from 3 to 18 – and in order to make ends meet, she is working two jobs, as a teacher and cheerleading coach.

The team sent Producer Oli out to Glenmore Park to knock on her door and surprise her with the life-changing news – that she no longer needed to worry about the cost of milk, bread or nappies.

Kate got emotional as she spoke with Fitzy, Wippa & Kate and told them how much it would mean to her and her family.
