Nine Radio counts down to the Games

The Paris Olympics are just a week away now, and – come next Monday – Nine Radio will embark on 150 hours of live coverage.

The Games action will be broadcast from 6pm AEST each day, with a national edition of Wide World of Sports hosted by Mark Levy on 2GB in Sydney, 3AW in Melbourne, 4BC in Brisbane and 6PR in Perth.

This will flow into continuous live coverage from 7:00pm until the start of national Breakfast shows at 5:30am.

2GB’s Ben Fordham and 3AW’s Ross and Russ will be live on location in Paris from July 29.

Ray Hadley heads up Nine Radio’s Olympic commentary team, calling all the major swimming and athletics moments.

Joining Hadley live for swimming commentary will be three-time Olympic gold medallist Libby Trickett.

Fellow Olympian Jane Flemming will join Hadley for all the track and field action live from Stade De France.

Shane McInnes and Matt Hill will also provide live commentary on swimming and athletics during the seventeen days of competition.

McInnes will be joined by 2GB and 4BC host Clinton Maynard and 2GB’s Breakfast News Editor Katie Fuller on the ground in Paris.

Coverage will be anchored by Mark Levy, with Gordon Bray, Karl Langdon, Bill McDonald, Bill Woods, Lucy Zelic and Adam Papalia providing expert commentary and coverage from the purpose-built interactive Olympics studio in Sydney.

Rolling coverage each day will be streamed exclusively on Nine Radio’s suite of radio websites and apps.

A daily podcast will feature in-stadium radio commentary, interviews and opinion on all the day’s action.

Nine Radio’s digital channels will also exclusively feature vision of the big golden moments on all major social media platforms, including Instagram and TikTok.
