New: YouTube Hits!

Staff Writer

YouTube Hits is the new online video and national radio show hybrid that SCA is launching across the country tonight.

Hosted by Michael Beveridge and Marty Smiley, YouTube Hits will appear from ten tonight across the 55 stations, part of the Today Hit Network and on-demand on YouTube.

Head of Today’s Hit Network, Dave Cameron said: “The opportunity to create a nightly radio and video show, developed in partnership with the world’s biggest music and video platform is unbelievably exciting for us.  This partnership with YouTube continues SCA’s new frontier of working side by side with global partners to create rich and relevant content that reaches a new generation on multiple platforms.   YouTube Hits! will come to life nightly around Australia on both YouTube and Today’s Hit Network and will be powered daily using data provided by our joint venture show partner, YouTube.”

Set to be the first of its kind in Australia the show will feature new music,  the most viewed songs of the day and other YouTube content.

YouTube is fundamentally about connecting fans with their favourite creators and artists and this new show will help showcase the breadth and depth of talent on YouTube to a wider audience.  YouTube Hits! will help uncover great new music from today’s well known artists and emerging stars.” said Partnerships Manager of YouTube Australia Georgie Powell.
