New year, new #1 show in the latest Australian Podcast Ranker

ABC News Top Stories has kicked off 2025 as Australia’s new #1 podcast in the latest Australian Podcast Ranker, released today by Commercial Radio and Audio (CRA) and Triton Digital.
The ABC’s news podcast climbed two places in the ranker to claim top spot, with more than two million monthly downloads.
Hamish & Andy dropped 3 spots to #5.
Casefile True Crime, Mamamia Out Loud and Shameless round out the top five.
Following the addition of Guardian Media Group last month, December saw the inclusion of the BBC in the Australian Podcast Ranker.
ARN’s iHeart also started 2025 with a bang, crowned both the #1 Podcast Publisher and #1 Sales Representation Podcast Network.
This achievement marks iHeart’s 56th consecutive ranker as Australia’s leading Podcast Publisher, its success bolstered by the network’s recent partnership with BBC Studios.
Overall, iHeart has 45 titles in the Top 200.

Will ARN include the BBC’s downloads as their own in 2025?
Claim they have “grown” despite making the majority of their team redundant and not continuing to make any original podcasts?

The ranker only includes podcasts that pay to be included on the ranker.
So there are a lot of podcasts not included.
Ranker is BULLS**T as it doesnt include so many wonderful podcasts.
