Three new Breakfast shows across SCA’s regional Qld stations

Former Assistant Editor

Southern Cross Austereo has announced multiple changes to its on-air teams across regional Queensland.

There are new Breakfast shows at Triple M Bundy, Hit Darling Downs, as well as Hit Mount Isa.

Hit104.7 Canberra announcer Bethany Larsen is heading North to join Nik Stuart from Hit Bundy for Breakfast at Hit100.7 Darling Downs.

The new show will be heard across Toowoomba, Roma and Kingaroy regions from Tuesday, March 24.

“I can’t wait to hook into the Darling Downs, get to know the people, the region, and team up with Beth. I have been to the Spotted Cow a couple of times, but it will be great to see it during the day!”

Justin ‘JB’ Bell of Hit Mt Isa will head to Bundaberg for Triple M Bundaberg Breakfast, joining Julia ‘Jules’ Greenhalf.

The JB & Jules Breakfast show will kick off on Monday, March 23.

JB will be replaced at Mt Isa by AFTRS graduate Cam Hilder.

“I still can’t believe they’re going to pay me to talk into a microphone! I’m looking forward to being on-air, making radio every day and becoming a part of the Mt Isa community,” said Hilder.

“Hopefully they won’t hold it against me when New South Wales wins the Origin for the third year in a row!”

His new show also starts Monday, March 23.

“As a content director I love being able to watch announcers grow and develop, so when multiple moves like this happen it’s exciting,” said SCA Queensland regional CD Blair Woodcock.

“It’s great to see announcers get their start in this amazing industry through the likes of AFTRS and our talent development program HUBBLE, and also to see our own talent grow and be given opportunities where they can be the best they can.

“I can’t wait to see what all these shows have got in them!”

Congrats Cam!
Get the checkbook out SCA, Cam is an amazing human who will absolutely kill it. Worth every penny.
Only disappointing thing is its unfortunate he is a Roosters fan.
