“Never been better” – Marty Sheargold returns to Triple M Breakfast
Marty Sheargold has thanked SCA, his team and fill-in host Anthony ‘Lehmo’ Lehmann, after returning to Triple M Melbourne Breakfast this morning.
Sheargold is back from an extended break, after taking time out in October last year to focus on his mental health.
He revealed on air that two high-profile AFL identities played a part in his decision to step away from radio.
“You know who I was inspired by? Actually, Alastair Clarkson and Damien Hardwick, two men last year that put their hand up and said ‘I need a break.’”
“I thought, you know what? I actually need a break.”
Sheargold returned to the airwaves supported by his team, including anchor Troy Ellis and producer Loren Barry.
He said he realised he’d absolutely burnt himself out over the last couple of years, but now – after what Sheargold describes as a wonderful break – he says he’s never been better.
How about you start to recognise and call out the EP on this show!?
Why does anyone care because he is only going to rate around 4 or 5 %?
