SCA among the winners as Ben & Liam host Mumbrella NeXt Awards

The 2019 Mumbrella NeXt Awards recognised 13 up-and-coming industry stars overnight.

Now in their second year, the awards were hosted by former triple j Breakfast pair Ben & Liam, who are set to jump to Nova 91.9 Adelaide in 2020.

The awards, not based on age, aim to recognise those in their first decade in the industry, who are making a big impact.

Southern Cross Austereo‘s Brisbane-based agency group sales manager Carla Mathisen was among the winnners, taking out the award for Commercial Talent.

“Carla showed exceptional results in all aspects judged,” said the judges.

“The jury said she had an impressive track record of results, and clear contribution to the wider industry. Congratulations Carla.”

Mathisen started at SCA in 2015 as an agency account manager, before moving to the role of agency group sales manager – audio in 2018.

Other winners on the night included UM’s Jack Graham taking out Media Agency Talent, VMLY&R’s Isaac Anthony for Creative Agency Talent and PHD’s Chloe Hooper who won the Marketing category.
