Meshel Laurie, Osher Günsberg join Mumbrella Audioland speakers

Mumbrella’s Audioland conference has announced a list of speakers for its 2020 event, confirming that Meshel Laurie and Osher Günsberg will appear.

Günsberg is the host of the Better Than Yesterday podcast, as well as several reality TV shows, while Laurie hosts Australian True Crime.

The pair are set to curate a panel of audio experts, to chat about how to can cultivate positive relationships between on-air talent and their listeners, as well as the how to create a sense of community through audio.

The panel will include Acast content director Guy Scott-Wilson and SCA’s head of podcasting Grant Tothill, with another SCA guest yet to be announced.

There have also been several international guests confirmed, including New York-based Podean CEO Travis Johnson.

He’ll speak about how technology and voice is shaping the audio industry, reveal common failures using the medium and how voice and technology can help engage customers in a more personalised way.

BBC Global News vice president of commercial development, Asia and ANZ, Alistair McEwan, also joins the speaker lineup.

He’ll be unpacking the BBC’s latest audio study, and offer his unique insights and experience from branded podcast campaigns.

Mumbrella Audioland takes place on May 5 and the Four Seasons Hotel in Sydney.
