Mix 106.3 on top in GfK Survey 1 for Canberra
Mix 106.3 has enjoyed an outstanding book in the first GfK Survey of the year for Canberra, with significant share increases across Breakfast, Mornings, Afternoons and Drive.
Overall, Mix went up 3.1 among all people 10+ to now sit at 25.3, a long way ahead of its nearest rival Hit 104.7 (+1.5 to 14.7).
The Mix team of Kristen and Nige (main photo) continue to dominate the Breakfast timeslot, rising 5.4 to give them a 26.5 share.
A slight share increase this book sees ABC Canberra move to second spot Breakfast … (+0.2 to 14.6) with Hit now third (-1.2 to 13.3).

The Capital Radio Network says the Canberra Survey 1 results show younger listeners are tuning in to 2CA and 2CC.
2CC increased its share of 18 to 24 year olds, jumping from 0.6% to 9.4% share of listening, while 2CA jumped from a 1.1% share of 18–24-year-olds to 6.9%.
Capital Radio Group Program Director Josh Haizer attributes the survey results to a retro music revival among young people coupled with Gen Z’s shift towards more conservative values.
Capital Radio Chief Operating Officer Michael Jones says it’s pleasing that the stations have broadened their appeal, with younger Canberrans now enjoying the programs offered alongside their parents and grandparents.

just one thing – isnt it mix 106.3 haha?!?
unless arn rebranded kiis to mix but i really doubt that (april fools??)
Thank you Max. Amended.
Huge result for Larry Appley and his new Mix Drive show. When you add in the 1–3pm shift he hosts as well, he’s now got the highest rating slots across the board in Canberra. Absolute pro and a top bloke. Well deserved!
Does these numbers indicate that Hit 104.7 isn’t #1 for under 40s anymore? What an odd result.
Bounce for 18-24’s !!!!!!!
FM radio in Canberra is in dire need of a new competitor it looks like. It’s Kristen & Nige and then the rest and has been for a couple years.
As a capital they should be able to have more stations like Nova, Smooth, Gold and MMM.
