2Day FM’s MC tells AFTRS students to “be good enough, but just not that good!”

It has been a long time since Michael Christian (MC) from 2DayFM was in the Show Radio studio.

Christian graduated from AFTRS back in 2004 but remembers very fondly the experiences (and food) from his time broadcasting live from the Sydney Royal Easter Show.

He thinks the current students have it pretty good; when he did Show Radio his phone didn’t even have a colour screen!

MC now hosts a show from 9-12 Weekdays on 2DayFM but has lived and worked in Melbourne, the Central Coast, Newcastle, Perth and Sydney.

He absolutely made the most of his time at revisiting the Sydney Royal Easter Show by sampling a cheese toastie, turkey leg, lasagne on a stick and cheese on a stick.

MC dropped by for a chat with Sam Baran and provided some very sound advice for the Graduate Diploma in Radio class: “be good enough, but just not that good!” – he’s worried that this year’s students will put him out of a job!
