Matty J returns for third season of Nova’s The Babble podcast

Nova’s pop culture podcast The Babble has entered its third season with a refreshed lineup.

Launched in 2019 with hosts Matt ‘Matty J’ Johnson and Natalie Bassingthwaite, the latest season will see the former Bachelor return alongside producer Ruby Teys for three weekly episodes.

A spokesperson told Radio Today that Bassingthwaite left the show in early February.

New episodes will arrive on podcast platforms on Mondays with listener letters and special guests, Thursdays with celebrity and entertainment content and a pop culture quiz on Saturdays.

Nova says a diverse range of guests will join the team on Mondays, with Hollywood heavyweight and former MTV VJ Keiynan Lonsdale a guest on today’s episode.

Managing editor at Nova, Andrew Brentnall, said the podcast is a great example of Nova’s push to attract new audiences with original and relevant content.

“Digital audio plays an important role in the future of Australian media and is an exciting place to see real creativity shine through,” he said.

“Our original content is developing and adapting to the needs and wants of the market.”

New episodes of The Babble can be streamed here and on your go-to podcast app.

Johnson also hosts Saturday Breakfast with Matt De Groot and Sarah McGilvray on the Nova Network.
