Matt Tilley returns to Melbourne radio on Nova 100
Matt Tilley has confirmed a return to radio with Nova 100 in Melbourne.
The former Fox FM Breakfast Show host is taking on the Mornings slot, in a move that will see Nova cease to syndicate its Workday across multiple markets.
Matt will kick off the new gig from April 29, with his new show to follow Chrissie, Sam & Browny from 9am each weekday.
“It’s been nice to have a break from radio but I’m super keen to get back on and thrilled to be joining Nova,” he said.
“The fact that this shift fits in nicely with my parole conditions is purely coincidental.”
Matt will be familiar to the Melbourne audience, having spent 20 years in the market including 14 years at #1 on Fox Breakfast with Jo Stanley.
The Workday reshuffle sees Troy Ellis move to Arvos, which will also be broadcast locally.
“It’s great to have Matt back on the air in Melbourne and we’re delighted he’s chosen Nova 100 as his new home,” says group PD Paul Jackson.
“Matt completes the strongest personality radio line up that our station and this city has ever seen, with Chrissie, Sam & Browny in breakfast, Matt and Troy delivering a new sound across the work day and Kate, Tim & Marty for the drive home, there has never been a better reason to tune in to Nova 100.”
Nova 96.9 Sydney also sees a programming shakeup, with Smallzy set to host Mornings locally while DC will move to Afternoons.
