Mark Collier departs AFTRS

Staff Writer

Mark Collier, Director of the Radio Division at AFTRS, is leaving the school. He announced his departure on Facebook, saying:

"Quick heads up … I wind up in two weeks as Director Radio at the Australian Film, Television and Radio School.
It’s been a privilege to have sat in the chair for the past 4.5 years and to be a part of such a strong team helping develop the skills and bringing out the creativity in students who have the potential to become part of the backbone of our beloved broadcasting industry. Many already are.
Thanks to all those from inside and outside the industry who give their generous support to AFTRS Radio, to our staff and particularly to our students, and who have given such wise counsel and support to me .
This has been one of the most rewarding gigs I’ve had the pleasure of undertaking in a looooong broadcasting career.
"

Congratulations on what you have achieved at AFTRS Mark and we wish you all the best for your next endeavour.
