Lucky charms: AB shares one listener’s beautiful gesture

Emotions spilled over on Triple M’s Rush Hour Queensland this week, when co-host AB opened up about her fertility journey and gave a special shout out to a listener by the name of Gary.

Gary reached out after learning of the challenges AB and her husband had been facing.

“He has been warm and kind during a really difficult two years of my husband and I struggling with fertility,” said AB.

Late last year, AB received a letter from Gary.

Inside the envelope were six little charms.

The note from Gary read “These are fertility charms. All you have to do is touch them every single day at some point and hopefully they’ll bring you some luck.”

AB told listeners “I put those charms on my desk and I touched them every single day for a month. And even though we genuinely were of the opinion we were going to have to take an intervention course in our journey, it was three weeks later that we found out we were pregnant.”

“A lot of women go through this. A  lot of couples go through this. But just having people being supportive throughout has meant the world to me.”
