LiSTNR Podcast of the Year winner returns with new twice weekly eps

2022 Australian Podcast Of The Year – Come Out Wherever You Are with Sean Szeps – returns for a new season of its LiSTNR podcast series, now publishing twice weekly and with a new episode format.

The podcast is hosted by Sean Szeps, gay father and proud member of the LGBTQIA+ community, who is seeking to educate, empower and celebrate the queer community and its allies.

Building on the success of the podcast, and demand for compelling LGBQTQIA+ stories, Come Out Wherever You Are will now publish twice per week.

Every Wednesday, Szeps speaks with guests across the gender and sexual spectrum to learn about their letter of the LGBTQIA+ alphabet and understand what it’s like to come out for the first time, and every time after that.

Every Friday, Szeps answers listeners’ Queer Questions. Topics such as ‘What does this word mean?’, ‘What’s the history behind the rainbow flag?’, and ‘How do I ask my boss to use different pronouns?’

Szeps says “For many members of the queer community, the coming out experience is the most troubling and equally liberating moment of our lives. It’s a line in the sand for our time on earth: before coming out and after. And yet, there hasn’t been a space in the Australian media landscape to stop and highlight that momentous experience. Come Out Wherever You Are is my attempt to hold that space.”

Guests throughout the series have so far included: radio host Abbie Chatfield, drag queen Courtney Act, radio presenter and current affairs journalist Patricia Karvelas, reality TV stars Brooke Blurton, Khanh Ong, and comedian Christian Hull.
