Listeners share dodgy ‘double up’ stories on Nova’s Fitzy & Wippa with Kate Ritchie

This morning on Nova 96.9’s Fitzy & Wippa with Kate Ritchie, the team were discussing rare events that have happened twice – after a man got lucky on the scratchies.

First – he won $500,000 and then, whilst recreating the win for the TV news – he ended up pocketing another $250,000 on an entirely different scratchie.

Listeners called up to share their stories, with Danni telling the team how her appendix – which she thought had been removed – later reappeared!

Danni said “I was four months pregnant, and I had a lot of pain, and I ended up going into surgery to get my appendix out”

“I had the surgery and then I recovered. Took me a couple of weeks because being pregnant was really tough. Anyway, about 15 years later, I end up having some pain thinking that maybe I’ve got a stomach ache … but it lasted for about three months. I ended up going into emergency surgery and they say ‘Oh, your appendix is still there, they never took it out’. I’m like … what do you mean?? I had the surgery. I have a massive scar.”

Wippa:  “So what were they doing in there?”

Danni: “I don’t know…maybe they took another organ for the black market or something.”
