License Fees to be slashed?

The Communications Minister Mitch Fifield is on a roll. On the cusp of media law reform, Mitch flagged on Sky News this morning that they will take a look at license fees.

Both Radio and TV networks have paid license fees since the 1950’s.  “Obviously things have changed a heck of a lot since then”, Mitch Fifield  was quoted on Sky News this morning.

While they were sliced in half back in 2013, the lowering of license fees will make any Network CFO smile.

What are the chances of Mitch stepping in and taking a look at those fees for streaming?
