Kyle says ‘I’ll sue’

Staff Writer

Southern Cross Austereo's Kyle Sandilands has said that he is considering legal action against those who are running orchestrated online campaigns against him.

He has likened their behaviour to online bullying.

One of the most vocal critics has been Ballarat woman Kate Drury, who is the administrator of the Facebook page 'sack vile kyle', which states their goal is to have Sandilands 'sacked'. Since being setup some time ago the page has settled at 206 members.

Speaking to News Limited, Drury said that being sued was not a concern;

"He's all talk. We are not trolls. If his show was on late at night I wouldn't have a problem with it. But this is on in the afternoon, when a lot of kids listen to it".

She went on to say that she was continuing her campaign of contacting 2Day FM, and their advertisers, but did not believe this should be regarded as bullying.

Notwithstanding the campaign, the Kyle & Jackie O show continues to dominate FM Breakfast in Sydney, with the latest survey showing that the 2Day FM show commands a significant 12.7% of listening share.

That places Kyle & Jackie O over 5% ahead of WS FM's Jonesy & Amanda, and more than double the ratings of Fitzy & Wippa on Nova 969.

It would seem unlikely that Kyle will be leaving 2Day FM anytime soon with ratings like that.
