Kyle gone from Take 40

Staff Writer

MCM Media and ARIA have announced a new partnership to relaunch Australia's biggest and longest running countdown, Take 40, from this Saturday 10 March. The partnership will see the ARIA singles chart being counted down across the radio, website and mobile platforms.

Notably, the change also sees the end of Kyle Sandiland's hosting duties, with Take 40 to be hosted by Jackie O solo from this weekend. There has been no official reason given for the removal of Kyle, however it seems likely that his increasingly hectic workload would have played a role in the decision.

In addition to the radio program, MCM Media will produce the ARIA chart website, which is being redesigned by MCM subsidiary Igloo, and will utilise the online video platform Movideo, another MCM subsidiary.

Take 40 presently averages a million listeners per week, and the take40.com website averages 575,000 unique browsers per month.
