KIIS ya later, Hello Wave! Megan Hui embarks on new radio adventure

It’s been a big two and half years for Megan Hui. Upon graduating from the Australian Film, Television & Radio School (AFTRS) in 2022, she hit the ground running, landing her dream job as the Promotions Specialist at Sydney’s KIIS 1065.

Since then, she’s worked alongside the likes of Kyle & Jackie O and been instrumental in the KIIS team creating and executing some of the biggest radio promotions in the country.

Now, a new opportunity to help grow her skill set has come knocking, with Megan headhunted to lead Wave FM’s Promotions team, as well as taking on an announcing role at the Wollongong station.

Of her time spent working with Kyle & Jackie O, Megan says “It’s one thing to meet your idols, but to find they are just as incredible in person and to work for is a dream come true.”

“Kyle & Jackie have been nothing but amazing to me and supportive as I take my next steps into the big radio world.”

And Wave FM is delighted to have Megan on board.

“I’m absolutely thrilled to have someone of Megan’s calibre joining Wave FM,” says Wave FM’s Content Director Amy Collett.

“The first time I chatted with Megan, I knew she needed to be on our team and I am excited we got to make it a reality. The entire content team cannot wait to be working with her.”

Megan says  “I am so excited to start at Wave FM and create some radio magic in Wollongong.” 

Megan begins her new role as Wave FM’s Promotions Manager and announcer today, Monday, April 28^th.
