Jonesy & Amanda team up with Glenorie Bakery for Sydney Sick Kids Day

Jonesy & Amanda are teaming up with Glenorie Bakery to lend their support to the Sydney Sick Kids Appeal, raising funds to give thanks to Sydney’s children’s hospital workers.

The initiative, focusing on Westmead Children’s Hospital and Randwick’s Sydney Children’s Hospital, will cater for the Sydney Sick Kids Day, an event scheduled for this Thursday, June 22 at both hospitals.

The Sydney Children’s Hospitals Foundation reached out to Jonesy & Amanda as part of their ‘In a JAM’ segment, where the hosts utilise their opportunity to make a positive impact in the community.

After Jonesy & Amanda put the call out on air for catering assistance, Glenorie Bakery stepped up to the plate. Their generosity will help provide lunch for the day for approximately 1,500 children, families, and hospital staff across both locations to enjoy.

“We are big fans and supporters of the Sydney Sick Kids Appeal,” said Jonesy & Amanda.

“We are excited to be a part of this incredible initiative and have the opportunity to give back to the people who do so much for it. And who doesn’t love a pie?”

Glenorie Bakery’s assistance will tie in with their annual Pie of Origin fundraising campaign, which has been running alongside the State of Origin for the past 11 years, raising over $150,000 for various causes.

This year, as the NSW Blues and Queensland Maroons clash on the field, Glenorie Bakery will be baking like mad, donating $1 from every pie sold directly to Sydney Sick Kids Appeal.

“Glenorie Bakery is so excited to be partnering with WSFM to help raise funds for the Sydney Children’s Hospitals Foundation. With Pie of Origin in its 11th year, we’re just so proud of what the humble Aussie meat pie has been able to achieve,” said Rob Pirina from Glenorie Bakery.
