Jo Spargo warms the chair on ABC Radio Hobart breakfast

Regular ABC Radio Hobart Breakfast host Ryk Goddard is taking long service leave. Until he returns Content Director Jo Spargo (both pictured) is up much earlier than normal and will look after the program for the rest of 2024.

Jo said:

“I’m normally walking on the beach with my dogs listening to Ryk on Breakfast so it’s a real treat to be able to share my morning with you (and the dogs have appreciated the sleep in so far).

The stories that stop me in my tracks are the ones that come from the heart, and I want to bring you more of those on breakfast. I am eternally curious and love science stories; things that make you get outside and appreciate the beautiful place we live in as well as anything that connects us as a community.”

Jo has been with the ABC for more than two decades.
