Triple M’s Jess Eva hospitalised

Triple M Sydney’s Jess Eva was absent from Moonman in the Morning this morning, with host Lawrence Mooney revealing she has been hospitalised.

Eva has been appearing on Channel 10’s I’m A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here, which was pre-recorded late last year, allowing her to also fulfil her radio commitments while the show goes to air.

Throughout the show’s airing, Eva has been providing updates to listeners about her deteriorating hearing, which culminated in doctors extracting bits of bugs from her ear canals.

On the Moonman in the Morning podcast this morning, Mooney revealed the “weird and wonderful life” of Eva had taken yet another dramatic turn.

“She’s in hospital, under care, being administered morphine, because she’s in such intense pain because of the bugs that went into her ears when she was in the bush or jungle when she was on I’m A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here,” he said, noting she is unlikely to be discharged today.

Mooney also addressed Eva’s absence on the regular radio show this morning.
