Jerry Seinfeld on advertising

Staff Writer

Ad’s are a part of our lives and The CLIO Awards are one the world’s most recognized international awards competition for advertising, design, digital and communications.

“I love advertising because I love lying,” comedian Jerry Seinfeld told advertising execs at the annual awards show last week.

He went on to deliver a deadpan acceptance speech perfectly, for securing his honorary Clio award:

“I think spending your life trying to dupe innocent people out of hard-won earnings to buy useless, low-quality, misrepresented items and services is an excellent use of your energy,” Seinfeld said.

You can watch the full acceptance speech below, the execs in the room may not even have picked up on it.
