One of the winners of Radio Today’s 30 Under 30 competition, Jenna D’Apice, has taken up a role at Eagle FM in Goulburn as an announcer and commercial production manager.

D’Apice, who took out one of the three Podcasting spots on the list last year, was most recently a client implementation executive at NOVA Entertainment.

D’Apice also co-hosts the How to Life podcast and said she was excited to be moving into a full-time programming role.

The job opening came about as Dylan Finch moves from Eagle FM to take over Workdays on Power FM in Musswellbrook.

And this opportunity was avaiable because Grant Maling, a Bidjugal man from La Perouse in Sydney, has been promoted from Power FM to Workday announcer and promotions manager at WAVE FM in Wollongong.

All three recent appointees are graduates of the Australian Film, Television and Radio School (AFTRS).

Maling said: “I’m delighted to be at WAVE FM Wollongong. The training I received at AFTRS is so valuable when you’re not only looking for a start in radio, but also when climbing the industry ladder.”

Head of radio at AFTRS, Fyona Smith, added: Our Alumni network remains strong well after graduation. The school has. along history of producing top-quality radio and podcast graduates who are industry ready. Our curriculum is shaped through regular consultation to align with industry and the anticipated needs of the future.”

WAVE FM and Power FM are owned by Grant Broadcasters. D’Apice’s new employer, Eagle FM, is part of the Capital Radio Network
