Jay Mueller jumps ship from SEN to reunite with Eddie McGuire

Former Assistant Editor

One of the industry’s top producers Jay Mueller is reuniting with former colleague Eddie McGuire at McGuire Media.

Mueller has jumped ship from his current role at 1116 SEN, where he was working as a senior producer and EP for Gerard Whateley‘s show since the start of the year.

“I have accepted a new position as head of development at McGuire Media,” Mueller told Radio Today.

Mueller joined Pacific Start Network’s SEN in October of 2017, in a newly created role of group content director of broadcast and digital.

However by the time he arrived at the station the change of ownership had been completed and new boss Craig Hutchison moved him into the position on Whateley’s new show.

Whateley’s show fell to 3.1% (-0.6) in the most recent ratings survey.

Mueller previously worked on Triple M Melbourne’s legacy show The Hot Breakfast for a period of eight years alongside Eddie.

In addition to serving in various producer, senior producer and EP positions at prominent networks down the years, Jay founded Bad Producer Productions in 2014 which producers podcasts including Game Changers: RadioThe Garret Podcast and In The Pocket.

He will begin his new role in September.

Bummer Jay.
Stay with the future & strength, Eddie is quickly becoming a fossil with a huge “use by date”.
