Jase & PJ star in phase two of KIIS 101.1 TVC campaign

Former Assistant Editor

ARN has rolled out the second phase of its KIIS 101.1 advertising campaign.

Following the launch of TVCs in March with the slogan ‘change your station, change your life’, phase two continues the story of Tim and Rach.

The initial ads saw friends and family of ‘Tim’ and ‘Rach’ holding an intervention, urging them to change their radio listening habits after being “hooked” on Nova and Fox.

Now that the two both listen to Jase & PJ, and their journey of “recovery” is revealed in an Alcoholics Anonymous-style meeting.

Good attempt but why would anyone change from those stations to Jase and MJ ?
Good try but going to take a lot more then that to shake up the Melbourne market. Hear airfares one way to New Zealand are being discounted grab one while you can.

Good point – the campaign seems like a clever, creative response to the wrong brief.

If you wanted to focus on ‘why’ change stations, might help to introduce ‘who’ they are.

There’s been a few campaigns now and still I don’t think people sufficiently know who they are.

Terrible campaign to try and attract audiences to two nobodies. This is a good campaign for a show like Kyle & Jackie who everyone knows and are market leaders and not a show on a 3 share. Another fail to this follow up ad is 95% of people wouldn’t have seen the first round of ads, typical ARN spend, so unless you watched channel Ten after 10:30 at night you wouldn’t have seen it.
