“I’ve had the pleasure of leading the pluckiest team in radio.” Tim Arnold departs SCA

Tim Arnold has left his role as Content Director at Triple M Perth, as yet more redundancies take effect at SCA.

Tim had been with SCA for the past eleven years, holding down various programming and on-air roles in Brisbane as well as Melbourne, where he was Assistant Content Director at Fox FM for over three years.

Long sought after for his programming knowledge and creative ideas as well as being known and well liked within the industry as a passionate, inclusive leader, Tim had been at Triple M Perth for almost four years.

In a LinkedIn post, Tim said “That’s 11 years, a million ideas tried, 5 roles, 2 networks and 1 radio station launch.”

“And I wrap up having had the pleasure of leading the pluckiest team in radio. A team who, in the face of ever dwindling resources, have managed to create a product that has more than doubled its share of the 25-54 market in just 2 years, and done so with a format that has never been tried in Australia. One we crafted from scratch.”

“That’s not a bad headline to dip out on.”

“Cheers to those who entrusted me with the privilege of being allowed to break some things to make some things.”

SCA thanked Tim for delivering outstanding creative content during his tenure at the network.

Under a revamped structure, there’ll now be one Group Content Director role at SCA Perth, with James Speed to take up this position immediately, overseeing both Mix 94.5 and Triple M.
