Indigenous presenters front up for Reconciliation Week on triple j Unearthed

Reconciliation Week has taken place since 1996, and in celebration of the the week triple j Unearthed is featuring a stack of Indigenous radio presenters and producers.

A special lineup of presenters will host triple j Unearthed daily TOPS program. The program features each week’s best uploads to triple j’s Unearthed platform, featuring rising artists who might not normally get a run on the radio.

This week, the TOPS Indigenous Takeover will instead feature Australia’s most exciting Indigenous artists who’ve uploaded music to Unearthed since the start of the year.

Leading the lineup of presenters is triple j Weekday Lunch presenter, stand-up comic and Torres Strait Islander man Dave Woodhead. triple j Weekend Lunch presenter, TV presenter and Gamilaroi woman Karla Ranby will present one edition of the show.

Ashley McGregor – triple j Breakfast Producer and Wathaurong woman
Marlee Silva – triple j presenter, writer, podcaster and Kamilaroi/Dunghutti woman
Tyrone Pynor – triple j presenter, SBS broadcaster and Torres Strait Islander man
Loren Ryan – ABC trainee journalist, musician and Gamilaraay woman

triple j Unearthed’s TOPS Indigenous Takeover kicks off this Wednesday, May 27 and runs through to Wednesday, June 3 each day at 5:30pm.

It can be streamed on triple j Unearthed digital radio station and the triple j app.
