Hugh Riminton to host Sunday Extra on ABC RN

ABC RN has moved to strengthen its offerings by appointing multi-award winning journalist Hugh Riminton as host of Sunday Extra.

His move to RN is just the latest career development that has seen him work as a foreign correspondent and presenter for CNN and Channel Nine. He’s also a political editor and newsreader for Network Ten.

Sunday Extra will premiere at 7am on January 28 and is a challenge he says he’s looking forward to.

“RN is the true home of the Great Australian Conversation. I know its listeners are passionate, smart and engaged. I can’t wait to start.”

Also new to Sunday Extra in 2018 is The Roundtable segment – an extended panel discussion that will get behind the headlines and bring fresh perspectives and insights on major stories and current events.

The Roundtable is repeated standalone on Mondays at 1.30pm and Wednesdays at 12.30am.
