How Kyle & Jackie O’s voices have changed over the years

Kyle and Jackie O have been on-air together since 2000 when Kyle joined 2DayFM‘s Hot 30 Countdown.

Over that time they’ve achieved just about everything there is to achieve in FM radio, including winning the Best On Air gong at the ACRAs multiple times.

So how much have their voices changed over that time? A lot, is the answer.

For yesterday’s KIIS FM Throwback Thursday, producer Pedro joined the duo in the studio with some archived audio.

He started out by playing a clip of Kyle accosting Molly Meldrum during an interview in 2008.

“How did your voice change so much?” asked Jackie, after the clip was played.

“Cartons of smokes,” responded Kyle. “And scotch.”

That clip was followed by one of Jackie O with Ugly Phil in 1998 before we heard the pair interviewing Hillary Duff in 2004.

“I don’t like this,” said Jackie. “Me neither, we both sound shit,” agreed Kyle.
