Hot FM’s Ned & Josh nail 500k bike ride

Well what a week for Hot FM Western Australia’s Ned & Josh. The duo have cycled all week on a tandem bike 500km along the Great Eastern Highway from Northam to Kalgoorlie raising funds for Lifeline.

Adding to the degree of difficulty, the tandem bike is decorated as a horse and the boys were dressed as jockeys to mark Kalgoorlie’s Race Round. 

The objective was to make it to Kalgoorlie by this Sunday’s Kalgoorlie Cup and the timeline is looking good. Currently in Coolgardie, Ned and Josh have less than 50km to ride tomorrow morning before they (hopefully!) arrive at Kalgoorlie’s St Barbara’s Square by 8am, greeted by the local Mayor and community.

A store in the town of Merredin held a fundraising barbeque for the boys, locals have donated in each town as they’ve passed through and the Shire of Coolgardie have held a Welcome to Coolgardie party, with all funds going to Lifeline.
