Hit92.9’s Xavier Ellis and wife, Em, announce second pregnancy

This morning on Hit92.9 breakfast, co-host Xavier Ellis announced his wife, Em, is pregnant with their second child, due at the end of October.

The couple are already parents to 19-month-old Teddy, and are excited to extend their family.

“It’s an ordinary time at the moment for a lot of people but for our little family, Emily, myself & Theodore, Little Ted – we are very fortunate to say that Emily is 13 weeks pregnant.”

Ellis said he is committed to this pregnancy and would support Em by not going to the pub.

“And I have not been to the pub once, not once since we found out she was pregnant,” he said. “That’s just because all of the pubs are closed.”

The expecting parents are leaving the gender reveal a surprise this time around. When asked what he was hoping for, Ellis joked “I don’t really mind – a happy, healthy boy would be great!”

Ellis and Em know just how nerve-wracking it is to go through a pregnancy, but Ellis exclaimed: “We’re all good – happy, healthy, and Em’s fit as a fiddle.”
