Highway Patrol mate Norm plugs them on 2SM

Staff Writer

Triple M's drive show, Merrick & the Highway Patrol, are taking their show on the road tomorrow and will broadcast from Taree.

Why ?

'Coz they want to visit their mate Norm's Men's Shed of course.

Here's some background about Norm from EP Peter Deppeler:

"In March 2012 we met Norman Webster via an ad in the paper from a man who was looking for ‘any tapes of Larry Adler – the mouth organ virtuoso or any records or tapes of Swiss yodeller Harry Torani’. Merrick struck up a friendship, bought him the entire collection of cd’s and a brand new CD player.

Since then he’s been a regular on the show. He even reviewed the Hunger Games for us.

Norm was born in Sydney. He’s been a drover, publican, boxer, was in the army (went to Japan WW2). Lives with wife – married 62 years – they met at school.  He’s the ultimate Aussie! Nowadays he donates his time at the Taree Men’s Shed making wheelchairs for land mine victims in Vietnam."

Norm is so chuffed to have Merrick, Rach & Jules visit that he called 2SM to talk about it and plugged Merrick & The Highway Patrol, a lot…..
