A few tumultuous years after his footy career came to an end, media star and former AFL footballer Brendan Fevola continues his rise.

The Carlton legend has signed a new deal with Southern Cross Austereo, keeping him as part of the top-rating Fox FM breakfast show for another two years.

Fevola announced the news on social media, posting a picture with his Breakfast co-hosts Fifi Box and Byron Cooke.

After his footy career crashed and burned in 2011, the road to career revival began in 2016 when Fev emerged from the jungle as the winner of Network Ten’s I’m a Celebrity … Get Me Out of Here.

It led to appearances on Triple M Melbourne’s weekend sports shows before signing to Fox FM.

Congrats Fev. Have been listening over the last few months after moving from Adelaide to Melb. You could have done Swinburne like fifi and i, but instead you did the 10 week crash jungle course! You’re a great raw talent and balance the team really well.Congrats on your new contract and to all of you on your success.
