Leon Sjogren talks FOMO and interviewing Zayn Malik’s mum on ‘The Daily Talk Show’

Staff Writer

Fox FM Executive Producer and number two on Radio Today‘s top 10 Aussie EPs, Leon Sjoren drops by The Daily Talk Show this week to talk with some old mates Tommy Jackett and Josh Janssen.

No stranger to an early start, Josh dives right into the tough questions for Leon, asking; “Breakfast hours, how much does it fuck you up?”

Surprisingly, his answer was… not so much.

“I have major FOMO, so I love going out and I go to a lot of gigs. I don’t nap heaps but I try to get a couple in. I go to bed at around 11[pm] and I’m up at 4[am],” Leon said.

“It’s a normal work day but I am constantly monitoring news and Twitter.”

Leon also recounted his best get, the time he managed to get Zayn Malik‘s mum on the phone for an interview.

“My first producing spot for the Hot 30, this was in Sydney, was when One Direction was really taking off.

“I tracked down Zayn Malik’s mum…found out that she worked at the canteen at the school. So I stayed back until 2am on morning until the canteen was open, called and said “I’m just calling for this person”, got her on the phone and convinced her to do the interview.”
