Former SEN duo signed to Macquarie Media

The first shots have been fired in a new radio sports war.

Former SEN drive pair Mark Allen and David Schwartz have been signed to Macquarie Media‘s new sports offering on 1278AM.

They’ll go head-to-head with John “Dr Turf” Rothfield and Kevin Bartlett, who took their 3pm-6pm in the Crocmedia shake-up.

Allen and Schwartz will take to the airwaves on Monday, April 16 – two weeks after the station’s change over from Talking Lifestyle to what’s been dubbed Macquarie Sports Radio.

Discussions are still being held on who will host breakfast in Melbourne with local media reporting 3AW football caller Tony Leonard could switch stations.
