FIVEaa helping the homeless through Jocks & Socks charity drive

Staff Writer

In view of the devastating plight of homeless and transient people in Adelaide, FIVEaa breakfast boys David Penberthy and Will Goodings are encouraging listeners to donate some of life’s essential items as part of a two-week long promotion.

FIVEaa’s Jocks & Socks Drive began this morning with Dave & Will broadcasting live from Victoria Park in Adelaide, speaking with recipients of services from the Hutt Street Centre along with representatives from Fairmont Homes.

All donations from the promotion will be passed on to these houses in an effort to reach and support people with the greatest need.

Other members of the FIVEaa family are being posted to other locations across Adelaide to assist with collections.

Rowey along with Alan Hickey and Jane Reilly will be at Port Road (opposite Coca-Cola) from 7am to 9am each morning, while Bicks and Matthew Pantelis will be collecting donations at Kurralta Park Shopping Centre from 7am to 9am.

Donations can also be made directly to FIVEaa (75 Hindmarsh Square, Adelaide) or to the Hutt Street Centre.
