Fairfax to sell off Perth stations ?

Two groups have reportedly approached Fairfax Media about buying 2 Perth radio stations.

One group is chasing 6PR, the other is after the current #1 station, 96FM.

The Weekend West article says both groups include former GM of those stations, Declan Kelly (pictured)

They have expressed interest to Fairfax Media and are even prepared to enter into a joint purchase if it would speed up the process.

With GIna Rinehart recently questioning Fairfax Media's investment in radio, calling its stations "peripheral" assets, the consortiums would be wanting to take advantage of their uncertain commitment to radio.
